DILKES Arthur. Private, 25557, 9th, Sherwood Foresters, Injured in Gallipoli and died of wounds in Malta 19th January 1916. Native of North Wingfield, Derbyshire, and enlisted at Clay Cross, Derbyshire , son of William and Mary Ann of Hepthorne Lane, Chesterfield. Occupation in charged of horses below ground in a colliery.

BRAY Alfred George , Lance Sergeant, 8805, 1st Border Regiment, died of wounds 15th January 1916, aged 27 years. The son of Horace Bray, of 53 St. Josephs Road, Lower Edmonton, London

LANCASTER Thomas. Private, 17078, 7th, North Staffordshire Regiment, died of wounds 15th January 1916. Native of Biddulph Moor, Staffordshire.
Some notes from what remains of his army record. He joined up on the 8th March 1915 aged 23 years and 11 months and posted to the North Staffordshire Regiment, Dept. His occupation, miner, he lived with his parents William and Mary Ann at Well House Cottage, then New Street, both of Biddulph Moor, Congleton, Staffordshire. He married Sarah Ettie Hall at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor on the 5th June 1911. They had one child, Jack, born 29th November 1911 and lived at New Street, Biddulph Moor. After he had completed his training he was posted to Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on the 14th November 1915, wounded in action, sent to a hospital in Malta. He died of his wounds in Military Hospital, Florina, Malta.
