- Annie Elizabeth BREWER. Nurse Foundation Baye French Red Cross.
Born 21 November 1874 at Newport, resided at West Street, Newport.
She was awarded the Legion d’Honneur and Croix de Guerre. She served on the front line in France throughout the war. She was also injured by enemy shell fire.
Returned home to Newport January 1921 and died in Newport 30 January 1921 aged 47.
At rest in St Wools Cemetery. Newport, South Wales.
