Andrew THOMSON. (Not THOMPSON Navy record show Thomson) Able Seaman 218400 Royal Navy on HMS Irresistible. Born 3rd October 1885 at Blaimore, Argyll to Andrew and Mary of (1891 census) No 2 Hut, Coir Grennan, Buchanan, Stirlingshire. Enlisted 19th December 1901, occupation prior to enlistment, Labourer. Died 1st April 1907 aged 21 from drowning. He fell into water when returning from canteen leave. His grandmother was informed of his death 2nd April 1907
