This Poppy Cross was in a plant trough at Morecambe Cenotaph, Lancashire.
Able Seaman D171207C Andrew Robert BARR of H.M.S. Ardent was killed in action 21st May 1982 aged 20 in Falkland Sound. This ship on which he was serving was attacked while lying in Falkland Sound by Argentines A-4 Skyhawkes. The ship sank the following day with the loss of 22 souls.
