Andrew Daniel CLINCH, Colonel, King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Son of Dr. Andrew Daniel and Lilian Mary Clinch, husband of Bridget Barbara W.D. Clinch (nee Palmer), of Dorney Court, Windsor, Buckinghamshire. Mentioned in Despatches, War Cross (Norway). Born in 1902, Dublin, Ireland. He was Chief Security Officer at War HQ in Lascaris Barracks, Valletta, Malta when it was hit by an enemy bomb on the 24 March 1942 killing him aged 39 and burying Staff Officer Lt Col Ellis under the rubble for four hours.

His father died 1st February 1937 at the Royal City of Dublin Hospital. He was living at 33 Raglan Road, Dublin
