Amos FREEMAN

Amos FREEMAN, Chief-Stoker, 281571, Royal Navy on HMS Harpy. Born 22nd February 1874 at Maidstone, Kent to Thomas and Mary Ann Martin. Enlisted 13th January 1896, occupation prior to enlistment, groom. In 1911 he is with his wife Harriet, nee Freed and children at Vicarage Row, Mid Higham, Kent. Occupation Chief Stoker Royal Navy. Died 22nd March 1915 aged 40 from a pulmonary malignant growth of lungs in a hospital in Malta. His widow was informed of his death 22nd March 1915. At rest in Plot B Grave 236, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
