Born 1900 in Dartford Kent to William Burton Saville and Agnes Mills, of West Malling, Kent.
1901-1911 with her parents and siblings at The Priory, Swanley, Sutton at Hone, Kent.
Died in Kent 12 February 1946 aged 45. At rest in St Mary Churchyard, West Malling, Kent. Ready.
Awarded the Royal Red Cross 1st Class.
Recommendation for R.R.R. on Army Form W.312. Awarded 4 July 1943
Extract.
“This lady has now been 6 years in the Middle East and during the last 3 years assistant Matron of a General Hospital, Sister i/c (in charge) of 2nd C.C.S., (Casuality Clearing Station) and for the last 9 months Matron i/c of 9th General Hospital, a very specialised hospital for chest and facial, and maxillary causalities. In each of these duties she always shown great devotion to duty, power of control and command over her staff bringing about most successful nursing result.
Tactful, popular and always sympathetic with her own nursing sisters as well as the patients. She has upheld the great work of her service in the Middle East.
