Ada Elizabeth YOUNG. Nurse BRCS, VAD.
Born 1885 to Sergeant Major Young (5th Dragoon Guards) and Mrs. Young, of 16 Adelaid Terrace, Brookfield, Dublin.
Joined the VAD 29 September 1917. Died of pneumonia and cardiac failure following influenza 15 July 1918 aged 33 at Clipstone Army Training Camp Hospital. A war gratuity was granted to the Reverend Ernest Deacon 9 August 1920.
At rest in St Alban churchyard, Forest Town, Nottinghamshire.

In Forest Town Church yesterday Brigadier-General Ovens, C.M.G. in command of the troops at Clipstone unveiled a memorial tablet to Ada Elizabeth Young, B.R.P.S., of the Voluntary Aid Detachment, who died at Clipstone Military Hospital in July last.
The tablet was erected by her colleagues of the Army Nursing Service.
