A Jack ANNIS

Extended Description
WO2 A J ANNIS

"It is with regret that we notify you that 22488234 WO2 A J ANNIS died on 5 May 2013. Jack joined the Worcestershire Regiment as a regular soldier in the 1950’s and served with the 1st Battalion in Malaya. After leaving the Army he later joined the 7th Bn the Worcestershire Regiment at A Company based at Dudley, Worcestershire. On the re organisation of the Territorial Army in 1967 he joined B Company [Worcestershire] Mercian Volunteers based at Kidderminster as Colour Sgt [CQMS] where he became one of the mainstays of the new company. ‘Jack’ as he was universally known worked hard to make the Company a strong viable entity. He was promoted WO2 and remained the Company Sgt Major until his retirement."
