2.18B.12 Eva Mercy HORTON nee Heasman. Wife of Sergeant George John Horton, 2nd Dorset Regiment. Born 1869 in the Registration District Westbourne, Sussex. Married 1888 in the Registration District of Portsea, Hampshire. 1891 she was residing with her husband and daughter, Elsie Alice aged 1 years in Married Quarters at Plymouth St Andrew, Devon. 1901 her daughter aged 11 years was being looked after by her grandparents William and Rebekah Heasman at 63 Cuthbert Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Eva died in Pembroke Camp, Malta 27 December 1897 aged 28 years.
