2.10A.01 William Rawcliffe AIREY, Private, 2nd Royal Munster Fusiliers, Born 1862 in Swansea, South Wales to Joseph and Dinah Airey, nee Ratcliffe. 1871 residing with his parents and siblings at Railway Huts, Lazonby, Cumberland. 1881 residing with his parents and siblings at No 4 Gill, Ulverston, Lancashire. Died in Malta 30th December 1882 aged 20 years. The memorial was erected by the Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Men of C Company as a token of their respect.
