2.01.05 Ashley Henry James SQUIRE. Corporal, Royal Artillery, born 1842 in the Registration district of Blandford, Dorset, baptised 5 June 1842 at Winterbourne Zelstone, Dorset to Caroline Squire, spinster. In 1851 he was residing with his mother Caroline Squire and Step father Thomas Young in Winterbourne, Zelston, Dorset. He was married as on his headstone the words ‘Sorrowing wife ---- Squire’ is inscribed, no record of a marriage could be found. Died in Malta 10th July 1868 aged 26 years
