Occupation Temporary P.O.Messenger. 1912 he married Minnie Maud James. At the time of his death his parents were residing at Grammar School Cottages, Chipping Campden. HEDGES William Charles Private 17514, 10th Gloucestershire Regiment. Born 1893 in Chipping Campden to Frederick and Elizabeth Ann Hedges, nee Smith. 1901-1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Pauls Cottages, Mickleton, nr Chipping Campden. 1911 Occupation, Farm labourer. Killed in action 25 September 1915 age 22. His father Frederick was granted a war gratuity 20 December 1915, revised 8 August 1919. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
SMITH Thomas Private 17510, 10th Gloucestershire Regiment, Born 1896 at Mickleton near Chipping Campden son of George and Eliza, nee Toft. 1901-1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 31 Pauls Cottages, Mickleton, nr Chipping Campden. Occupation aged 16, farm labourer Killed in action 25/9/1915. His father George was granted a war gratuity 9 March 1916 revised 18 August 1919. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
HEDGES Charles Private 7404, 1st Gloucestershire Regiment, Born 1886 to William Henry and Emma Hedges. 1891 - 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Westlington, Chipping Campden. 1911 aged 25 his occupation was a groom, domestic. His father William Henry Hedges was granted a war gratuity 25 January 1916 revised 6 August 1919. Killed in action, 8 October 1915. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
His brother Harry joined the Royal Field Artillery 13 November 1902 as Bombardier 28498. He was aged 19 years and 10 months, occupation, groom. Served in India 9 December 1905 to 26 October 1910. He embarked from Avonmouth 28 June 1915 to join British Expeditionary Force the following day. He returned to England 23 December 1915. He was discharged from the army with the rank of Sergeant 4 January 1916 after serving 13 years and 53 days.
DUNN John Gordon Boy 2nd Class J/45953, HMS Impregnable. Born 17 September 1899 Campden, Gloucestershire to Frederick and Helen Dunn, nee Hands of The Chestnuts, Campden. 1911 residing with his widowed mother at Chipping Campden.
Enlisted into the navy 2 November 1915 as Boy 2nd Class on HMS Impregnable. civilian occupation, seaman. His mother was residing at All Saints Boy’s Orphanage, Glanville Park, Lewisham, S.E. Died at Royal Naval Hospital, Plymouth of Cerebrospinal meningitis 16 February 1916 age 16. Buried in St James churchyard Chipping Campden

Born 1890 at Chipping Campden to Francis Bazley and Mary Ann Osborne. 1891 -1911 residing with his parents and siblings at the School Masters House at Chipping Campden Grammar School. High Street. His father was the headmaster of the school. 1911 he was boarding at the home widow, Fanny Cook at 50 Mill Street, Ludlow, Shropshire. Occupation, bank clerk. At the time of his death his parents were residing at Malvern House, Blockley, Worcs. Killed in action 4 May 1916 age 26. MORRIS Charles Philip Scott. Private 435766, 31st Canadian Infantry. Born 1887 to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Emma Morris, nee Scott of Campden. 1891 residing with his parents and sibling at Cotswold House, High Street Chipping Campden. 1901 he is a boarder at a private school in Malvern, Worcestershire. 1911 aged 24 residing with his mother and daughter at the same address, occupation private means. His father was not mentioned, and his mother’s status was married. Killed in action 6 June 1916 aged 30. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
He joined the Canadian Infantry at Calgary Alberta aged 24 years and 2 months. Previously served 3 years with Cadet School, Warwickshire Yeomanry, and 4 years with the Light Horse. His sister Mary Eleanor Scott Morris. of Boxhall Bennington, nr Stevenage, Hertfordshire previously of 4 and 4 Clements Inn, Strand, London. 27 October 1915 he embarked for England on SS Orduna. Disembarked at Plymouth England and taken to Shorncliffe Army Camp, Kent. 6 November 1915 At Canadian Infantry Depot, Bramshott Hampshire 3 February 1916, next day at Canadian Expeditionary Forces Transit Camps, East Sandling. Kent Embarked for France 16 March 1916 disembarking at Le Havre the next day. Killed in action 6 June 1916
