Additional information re their father -
Born 1875 at Colchester to Robert Archeleus and Mary Ann Dodd nee Robinson. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at West Street, Great Coggeshall, Essex. He enlisted age 19 years and 8 months. at Colchester, Essex occupation, plumber on the 2 February 1894 into the Royal Engineer. Rank sapper 27997. He married Miss Eleanor Minnie Oudney, 14 April 1900 at Holy Trinity Church, Sheerness, Kent. and was stationed at St Mary Barracks, Gillingham, Kent as Lance Corporal. Posted along with his family to Hong Kong 1 October 1902 to 18 December 1903, then to UK, Malta with his family 12 February 1908 to 7 April 1913, back to UK. He made his way up through the ranks and on the 31 December 1915 was promoted to Company Sergeant Major, with Clyde Section 49th Coy, Royal Engineers. He was discharged from the army 6 February 1916 aged 41 years and 8 months after completing 22 years’ service with the colours to his home at 25 Swanpool Street, Falmouth. Cornwall.
All at rest in an unmarked burial in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot 1, Row 21, Grave 3.
