RENNISON Arthur Julius (Sonny) . Who died at sea on the 11th October 1914 on Troop Ship, Dilwara. Born 29th December 1912, only son of Captain and Mrs Arthur John Rennison, Supply and Transport Corps, Indian Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Arthur John RENNISON. D.S.O. 1916, late Indian Army Service Corps, Indian Army. Born at Moate, County Westmeath, 3rd November 1876. Son of late Venerable, Archdeacon Rennison of Navan, County Meath. Married 1904 at Dover to Norah Gertrude Backhouse, 2nd daughter of late Colonel J.B. Backhouse, C.B. The Buffs. Educated privately at Trinity College, Dublin. B.A., T.C.D., 1889. 1st Commissioned in A.S.C. 1900, served in the South Africa 1901 (Queen's medal with 4 clasps) transferred to Indian Army in Supply and Transport Corps 1909. Lieutenant Colonel 1926, retired 1928, served in the European War 1914-1919. (despatches twice, 1914 Star, Battalion Major, D.S.O.)
He died on the 19th November 1959 at The Poplars Nursing Home, 158 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone
Norah Gertrude Rennison died 25th June 1961 at the same place.
