Photos WW3 1985 - Team Yankee

Did a test of painting some British armour for my 6mm Team Yankee force. In this instance two batteries of FV433 Abbots from the 27th RHA.

I won't be doing a British Army for quite some time, got a US Army, West German and USSR Army to start/finish first, but it was good to get some practice in.

My first complete 6mm Team Yankee US Army force. A Bradley Armored Cavalry Troop.

13 M3A1 Bradley's, 12 M1A1 Abrams, 3 M106 Mortar Carriers, 6 M109 SPA. Not shown, 4 x AH-1 Cobra and 4 x UH-60 with a reinforced rifle platoon of infantry.

@TheKiwi You've been very hard-working, well done! Are these small bases part of the models when you buy them, or did you buy them extra?
They remind me on my early modeling days, with the Matchbox 1/76 modells with these small dioramas in it. They where a nice extra!
Some of the moulds are in Revells stash, but they where used once too often, so that the vehicles out of this sets look very cringe... thats a great pity

They're all 3d printed except for the bases which I bought from Battlefront (makers of Flames of War and Team Yankee).

Thanks guys. I am making good progress. I should have two or three more formations done before very long. And I'd guess my US forces (including a Marines one) will be done by the end of the year. And then it's onto West Germany and the USSR.

They're 6mm scale so they don't really take up all that much room. And the most I'd ever deploy at once is 30 or so. The actual tabletop is 1.85 x 1.22 meters (6 x 4'). One of these days I'll clean up the table and take some pictures of two forces deployed on it.

That would be nice, so we can get an idea of what it will look like...
