The body of an Australian soldier lies in no-man's land, on Hill 60, Gallipoli.

The ground over which the 1st Battalion advanced to attack Lone Pine on 6 August 1915, seen from the Turkish front line trenches. Heavy casualties were suffered on both sides in the fighting at Lone Pine, which was among the most vicious hand to hand combat during the Gallipoli campaign. The ground is strewn with debris; the body of a fallen soldier lies to the right of centre.

2nd Battle of Arras. A horse drawn ambulance of the 2/3rd London Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps and a Mk IV (female) tank "Lucretia II" Nº6012 L48 of 11 Section, 'C' Company, 12th Battalion abandoned after gas attacks of 24th August 1918, at the crossroads at Croisilles, Pas-de-Calais.
The 7th Division attacked Croisilles in March 1917 and took it on 2 April. It was lost on 21 March 1918 and recaptured by the 56th (London) Division on the following 28 August, after heavy fighting. (Photo taken 13 September 1918)
