Born on the Fourth of July. Fallen ten days later.
Charles David Brasier was born on July 4, 1947—a date forever linked with freedom and sacrifice. He lived out the meaning of that day through service with the 173rd Airborne Brigade as a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) soldier in Vietnam.
On July 14, 1969—just ten days after his 22nd birthday—Brasier was killed in action while operating deep in hostile territory. LRRP teams took on the most dangerous missions: small teams, miles behind enemy lines, gathering intelligence, calling airstrikes, and surviving on silence, speed, and sheer nerve.
Charles died doing one of the most perilous jobs the war demanded, and he did it with honor. Born on America’s birthday, he gave his life so others might see another.

Original Vietnam Tiger Stripe Effectiveness
In this video we test the effectiveness of Tiger Stripe Products Original Vietnam Tiger Stripe pattern in a heavily vegetative woodland environment. This video includes scenes that show the patterns use when both concealed with and without the use of vegetation in the environment, as well as what the pattern looks like moving and stationary.
In this video, I talk about the Tiger Stripe camouflage pattern. I'll explain some of the different variations offered by various companies in the civilian market. I also include examples of concealment and movement when using two different versions of Tiger. Please note that my goal in this video is not to completely conceal myself, but simply to show the potential effectiveness of Tiger Stripes, as well as some of their limitations. Tiger Stripe works best in the darkest, densest areas of the woods. Notice how much I stand out in the brightest, open woods. It's an excellent pattern, but it definitely has its limitations.
