"Ukraine’s drone war has entered a new phase—and it’s not just about numbers anymore. What started as dismissed, improvised systems has evolved into a decentralized, fast-moving, and increasingly autonomous force reshaping the battlefield. From 150,000 Russian targets hit in a single month to AI-guided drones that can’t be detected or jammed, the shift is real—and accelerating. In this video, we break down how Ukraine’s drone ecosystem works, why Russia is struggling to counter it, and what new technologies—some inspired by NASA-style navigation—mean for the future of war. We also look at how Ukraine’s innovative production and procurement system is outpacing traditional military models, and why this “cheap, scalable” future could redefine global conflict." - Professor Gerdes.

That isn't AI or something? Surreal.

Footage of a Russian kamikaze drone strike, presumably a Geran-4, on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the city of Horodnya in Ukraine's Chernihiv Oblast. It's worth noting that the drone's type is impossible to determine from such a long distance, and there has been no official information on the Geran-4 drones.

"Ukraine didn’t just strike overnight—it expanded the battlefield. Targets are spreading, defenses are failing, and Russia is being hit where it hurts most.Ukraine launched one of its largest drone waves yet—reportedly around 220 UAVs—hitting repair bases, oil infrastructure, logistics hubs, and air defense systems across occupied territories and inside Russia. These weren’t random strikes—they were coordinated hits on the systems that keep Russia fighting: fuel, repairs, and supply lines. At the same time, Russia’s response came in below normal levels, with most drones intercepted and limited impact. On the battlefield, Russian losses remain high—especially in drones—while Ukraine continues to scale advanced interceptor technology and expand strike depth farther behind the front lines. The war is shifting fast, with drones now dominating both the front and the deep rear, turning previously safe areas into active combat zones. And with growing concerns over long-range Ukrainian strike capability, even Moscow’s Victory Day parade may be at risk." - Professor Gerdes.

"In this episode of Break the Fake, Benjamin Lee analyzes a controversial statement made by Valentina Matvienko, the Chair of the Federation Council of Russia, in which she described Russia as “the most self-respecting and respected country in the world.” Matvienko also claimed that Russia has no intention of kidnapping Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, contrasting Russia’s actions with those of the United States. "NATO has just 48 hours—but here’s the part no one is saying out loud: they don’t trust what Trump might do next.Trump has issued a 48-hour deadline to NATO to secure the Strait of Hormuz—but the alliance is hesitating. Why? Because this isn’t just about protecting shipping lanes. It’s about trust, pressure, and what comes next. In this video, we break down Trump’s ultimatum, NATO’s reluctance, and the deeper strategic risks unfolding behind the scenes—from Russia’s growing boldness to shifting global alliances and a massive intelligence breach that could reshape military balance. This is bigger than a deadline—it’s a turning point." - Professor Gerdes.

***I am unashamedly spamming many of the popular threads on the site, so please bear with me***
As I am too bloody lazy to write a new script for 2026 I am tweaking last years post for donations. As always we have a shortfall between the amount we need and the money raised from donations and incomes to the site over the past year.

I hope all our members are getting through life with the decorum and suaveness that I know all you reprobates are capable of (for our non-English speakers that's a little sarcasm for the day)

That time of the year has come around again where we check our site finances and gasp as to where has all the money has gone when we find moths in the wallet 😳

This is the point where the rubber meets the road gents. We need as many members as possible to put their hands in their pockets and donate what you can so this site can continue for the next year.

The donations and subscriptions from Patreon have helped immensely in helping @Bombardier keep the lights on and the riffraff out of our happy little home however, we do have a shortfall in funds that are required to be paid to keep us going.

Costs run at around $5,000+ USD give or take per year so we have done well to cover as much of the funding as we have.

If anyone has any spare change lurking behind the sofa, under the bed or hidden in that special "break glass in case of need" jar then please donate it so we can keep going

Yours in friendship
BZ

"A video circulating online appears to show Viktor Orbán launching a harsh attack on Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but it has been altered. In the latest episode of Break The Fake, Benjamin Lee breaks down what was actually said, how the video was manipulated, and why these kinds of edits are becoming more common in online information wars. "While Russian propaganda paints "sanitary zones," Ukrainian "bavovna" (explosions) reaches 1,400 kilometers beyond the border. In this new episode, we analyze the catastrophe of the Russian energy sector: a 40% loss in export capacity in Primorsk and paralyzed refineries in Bashkortostan. We show how cheap kamikaze drones with AI guidance make billion-dollar investments in S-400 air defense systems utterly useless. Why is Russia losing over $900 million every week, and how will this financial noose stop the "meat grinder" assaults on the front line? Watch our analysis of how Ukraine is surgically cutting out the "war wallet" while the aggressor's sky has turned into a leaky sieve."

Footage of two strikes by Russian FAB-3000 aerial bombs in the village of Kostyantynivka. The buildings housed Ukrainian drone operators from the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade and soldiers from the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The attack was carried out by a Russian Su-34 frontline fighter-bomber.

"A soldier of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine described the situation on the Slavyansk direction: intense Russian FPV drone attacks, the use of guided aerial bombs (FAB), attempts to break through in small assault groups, and constant pressure on logistics.Special attention is given to the Ukrainian drone “DARTS,” a system with autonomous guidance, resistance to electronic warfare, and already proven high effectiveness in combat. The soldier also highlighted problems with fiber-optic cables, whose cost has sharply increased, and spoke about the realities of mobilization and frontline motivation."

"What is really happening behind the scenes in Ukraine’s war against Russia—and why does it feel like Ukraine keeps finding ways to win?In this breakdown, we pull back the curtain on the real innovations driving Ukraine’s battlefield success—from deep strikes hitting Russian energy infrastructure in the Caspian Sea to cheap drone warfare that’s overwhelming expensive Russian systems. This is not just about what happened overnight. This is about the strategy, technology, and adaptation that are reshaping the war.We examine how Ukraine is using low-cost drones, anti-drone defenses, remote weapon systems, and evolving battlefield tactics to outmaneuver a much larger Russian military. You’ll see why Russia’s size is becoming a liability, how their tactics are degrading, and why Ukrainian forces are now striking deeper than ever before. This is the story behind the headlines—the real reason Ukraine is holding the line, inflicting heavy losses, and changing modern warfare in real time. If you want to understand what’s actually driving this conflict, this is where it becomes clear." - Professor Gerdes.
