President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the disqualification of skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych from the 2026 Olympic Games.

“Sport does not mean forgetting, and the Olympic movement should help stop wars, not play along with the aggressor. Unfortunately, the decision of the International Olympic Committee to disqualify Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych says otherwise. This is definitely not about the principles of Olympism, which are based on fairness and support for peace.

I thank our athlete for his clear position. His helmet with portraits of fallen Ukrainian athletes is about honor and remembrance. It is a reminder to the whole world of what Russian aggression is and what the price of the fight for independence is. And there is no violation of any rules in this,” Zelenskyy wrote.

The President recalled that Russia constantly violates Olympic principles and uses the time of the Olympic Games to wage war: “In 2008 – war against Georgia, in 2014 – the occupation of Crimea, in 2022 – the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And now, in 2026, despite numerous calls for a ceasefire during the Winter Olympic Games, Russia shows complete disregard and increases missile and drone attacks on our energy infrastructure and our people.”

He added that 660 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by Russia during the full-scale war. Hundreds of athletes will never again be able to participate in the Olympic Games or any other international competitions. At the same time, 13 Russians are currently in Italy taking part in the Olympics. At the Games they compete under “neutral” flags, while in real life they publicly support Russian aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of our territories. It is they who deserve disqualification.

Ukraine is proud of Vladyslav and his act, Zelenskyy wrote. Because having courage means more than having medals.

Don't know to whom they cater to Russian bribes?

Only 15 % will watch it in Russia.

Same like the FIFA idiot infantino meh bring Russian teens over for "friendship"..

So many Russian drones trying to sell us their S**t annoying and they have no place or justification to be here and subverse everything.

Probably all bribed or coerced.

Volodia fvcked off from RuZZia, got a Polish passport, and has just earned a silver medal at 10,000 m speed-skating for Poland.

So, a good Russian is the one who earns Olympic medals for Poland.

"The Olympics say this helmet crossed a line — but the reason why it crossed that line reveals far more about memory, power, and moral cowardice than about sports rules.🎥 Ukraine’s Olympian Banned for a Helmet — And Why It MattersA Ukrainian Olympian was barred from competition for wearing a helmet honoring those killed by Russia’s invasion. The International Olympic Committee insists this violated rules on political expression — yet those same rules have been applied unevenly, raising uncomfortable questions about neutrality, memory, and whose suffering is allowed to be seen.In this video, I walk through exactly what happened to Vladyslav Heraskevych, what the IOC claims its rules say, how his family reacted moments before the race, and why this decision sparked outrage well beyond Ukraine." - Professor Gerdes.

Rare footage of a Russian FAB-3000 bomb strike, captured by a VT-40 FPV drone in Kostiantynivka, Donbas. The building was defended by Ukraine's 49th Separate Assault Battalion. A Russian Su-34 frontline fighter-bomber carried out the precision strike. The FAB-3000 bomb destroyed the Ukrainian building.

"Ukraine has confirmed new territorial gains, paired with continued pressure through drone warfare, air defense success, and attritional losses on the Russian side. This update walks through where territory changed hands, how drones and air defenses are shaping the battlefield, and why Russian casualty figures are becoming harder to hide. The numbers matter — but the geography matters even more." - Professor Gerdes.

It's like there's nobody in those units... maybe they got scared and started legging it toward Kazakhstan! Really couldn't blame them.

"Vladimir Solovyov is one of the Kremlin’s most reliable voices, which is exactly why this segment matters. While attempting to defend Russia’s economic position, he instead acknowledged pressures, distortions, and contradictions that cut directly against the official narrative. In this video, I walk through what Solovyov said, how it deviated from the approved message, and why these slips are revealing. When propaganda figures start improvising, it’s often because the gap between statistics and lived reality has become impossible to manage. This is not a battlefield update. It’s a look at message failure, economic strain, and what happens when state media can no longer fully paper over systemic problems." - Professor Gerdes.

I just noticed that Margarita Simonyan announced in September of last year that she has breast cancer. So now I am having to refrain from saying something positive about cancer and/or something negative about someone diagnosed with it ... 🤐

Another lesson learned from this conflict: you need a lot of comms to operate all the remote and crewless devices.

Comms is not just about units talking to each other.

Look at the Russians trying to replace starlink:

I'm not usually someone who wishes ill on other people (karma, etc.), but when it comes to Putin's propagandists, it's a different story. They've already wished death upon everyone who opposes the Putin system, so all I can think is, let them die.

I've seen so many good people die from this disease who didn't deserve it that it's easy for me to wish these assholes would get the plague.
