I mean we can rehash this whole thing all over again if you want. I believe targeting imagery from Kursk was held back for less than a day, ( if that), to make a point. Europe has satellites too, from what I understand. It might cost a few bucks to reposition them over Ukraine though.
And yes, Putin saw weakness in the brain dead Biden and the fools who were actually running the US government and nothing better from Europe who were happy to send him hundreds of billions for his oil. Putin is a predator and he saw his chance.
Also, we don't know what a deal would look like, specifically. But apparently we know that terrible Trump is going to give Putin Ukraine, right? Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Trump has given Putin even one penny to finance his war, let alone hundreds of billions of dollars in oil revenue.

I’m not sure many countries come out of this war well. Obviously Russia, basically trying to steal a neighbouring country- and making a f***ing huge hash of it as well.
USA, Biden, sent just enough stuff, slowly, certainly killing some ukr troops. Rest of europe more or less went along with Biden. Maybe Poland and Czechs sent a lot of armour. USA Germany U.K. sent 30 tanks each. Like a taster set. Australia is now sending 50!
USA and europe have increased ammo production, and presumably a lot of this is going to ukr.
Contrast this to Korea, when a true UN force, led by USA went in. Vietnam, USA sent what 100k troops?
Europe liked bidens plan because it was cheap, it bled Russia, and no-one else cares.
Biden gone, trump in, he said he would get involved, ok not done in 24 hours, involved he is, meeting done, clearly a lot of discussions going on, putin seems to be engaged to some degree, and now we have to see, how much both sides want to end it, and what will they give up to do so.
Not sure trump is an idiot, or europe doesn’t need USA, or whatever, is helping.
On the oil to europe issue, I think it’s down massively, and I’d think it’s a lever trump is looking at. It is utterly illogical to be arming Ukraine and buying Russian oil and gas.
Maybe he offers USA oil at the same price to europe? Until putin turns up to talk.
