I agree with @PegAsus that if Ukrainian grain not up to quality level of the EU, thus being unfavorably cheaper than local grain, is bought by local operators, it says something about local complicity.

@Musashi As for Ukraine preferring Germany as a partner rather than Poland, let' s not put too much drama in what just happened. Poland is a friend of Ukraine, did everything right, but has nothing to offer more because it gave all it could. Germany may not invest sufficiently in its armed forces but makes interesting hardware that should replace soviet era hardware. Germany has possibilities that cannot go ignored by Ukrainians.

Poland decided to make a case out of the tantrum an exhausted leader of an exhausted nation to boost its vote in the coming elections to secure the farmer vote. Polish leaders should have known better and acted with more self control.

Apparently ukraine will pull back its lawsuit against Slovakia.

This is what happens when you pull an emaciated, drunken, uneducated unfortunate off the streets of one of the far-flung Soviet settlements, give him a week of "training", and then put him in a tank.
An educated, healthy Russian from Saint Petersburg or Moscow is hands off...for now.

Same in Romania, Black market Ukrainian grain was being bought by Romanian companies making bread etc.. etc as they could get it cheaper, they still charged high prices for their products and Romanian Grain growers were protesting about what was happening last week the Romanian Government introduced strict measures with regards grain imports only to be transported to Constanta Black Sea port for loading onto ships for export or by truck into Europe to European Ports, a close watch will be kept to make sure none goes into Romanian consumption and any caught will face massive fines.

It's like with the russian women. Beautiful until they hit 40 and instantly transform into a babushka. Russian peasants are emaciated until they hit 40 at which point they turn into a garden gnome.

Fortunately Putler is working hard to make sure none of them ever have to worry about any of that 😏

Seams to be the only thing substandard about the grain is its price. Maybe they should have worked harder on the same railway size instead of plodding along thinking things will go back to how they were.

No there are traces of pesticides that have been banned for a long time in the EU:

"Vlcan noted that the mill has been banned from processing the grain and is expected to announce how the commodity will be disposed of. According to the minister, the options include incineration, processing in a biogas plant and further technical treatment."

Estimate of Acceptable Daily Intake for Man

0 - 0.01 mg/kg bw. vs

0.026 and 0.019 mg/kg respectively in the Slovakian test.

Just over and banned in 2020 pretty sure it not banned in some hungry place in the world but for the sake of rules.. a victory for the law and families, never mind if they starve.

I know we are heavily dependent on it, recently signed a deal with the EU so that will be interesting. A recent arrival bug called the fall worm would cause havoc without it.
