Oh gosh, a force near and dear to my heart the Rhodesian Army....almost joined back in the day! :)

This was a great bunch of chaps, and resourceful, adaptive, and efficient, among the best light infantry force you'll ever see!! If you want to read some of the best Unconventional Warfare & modern era combat stories you'll ever read try any of these books, they are just smashing and "real" stories of this great forces exploits:

*Pamwe Chete: the legend of the Selous Scouts: Ron REID-DALY (this one is now a rare military book and can be very expensive but one of the best books on true-life Unconventional Warfare ever written!)
*Selous Scouts: Top Secret War, Lt Col Rod Reid-Daly told to Peter Stiff (this is another phenomenal book capturing their real life UW operations and is another excellent UW books to read if you can find it, it can also be pretty pricey!)
*The Saints: The Rhodesian Light Infantry: Alexandre Binda
*The Elite: Rhodesian Special Air Service, Barbara Cole
*Fireforce: Chris Cocks
These books have many pics & maps as well to highlight the operations, if you can stand to read some I promise you you will be stunned and enlightened and come away with nothing but admiration for the Rhodesian Security Forces! They were a very different bunch and mentality than the SADF, who also was among the finest Light Infantry forces in the world.

What is the status of Rhodesian white and black soldiers after Rhodesia failed?

What is the status of Rhodesian white and black soldiers after Rhodesia failed?
After the new government was formed the Rhodesian security forces and the terrorists/freedom fighters of ZANLA and ZIPRA amalgamated to become the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. My understanding is that the vast majority of white troops left/were driven out of service very quickly and most left the country

white Rhodesian escape to South Africa?
black tribes soldiers escape from Zimbabwe?like case Bushman in Angola Portugal's colony era,Bushman serve Portuguese fight with black communists, when 1974 Portugal went out Angola, all Bushman escape Angola now,but SADF invaded South West Africa(Namibia) and Angola,Bushman serve with SADF in 2 countries again!if not escape Communist gov will revenge by killing all?

Most whites went to South Africa and joined elements of the SADF; recce, para's and Special Forces. As for black members, not sure?

While in Angola having been taken over by the Marxist/Leninist MPLA. Thus anti-communist forces split between Roberto Holden's FNLA and Jonas Savimbi's UNITA. A percentage of black Angolan's were taken in by the SADF and formed the famed, 32 Battalion, Terrible Ones.

Not to forget Mozambique, in which Rhodesia and SADF fought the communist FRELIMO forces backing RENAMO in their fight.

white Rhodesian escape with weapons, because I have never seen Zimbabwean hadn't used FAL or G-3?
