People are unhappy about what's widely perceived there as a rigged election in Bishkek. People stormed the "white house" to free the president. Police responded with water cannons and "concussion grenades".

"Bandera - our hero". This pic was in the comments section of the Russian article discussing the protest. Knowing little of politics there, I'm not sure how it relates to matters at hand.

You ll be hard pressed to find a " happy " country in this day and age . There also seems to be a distinct lack of masks been worn by the looks of those pictures above . That will more than likely get you a fine in the UK or it will do if the government get their way .

If there aren't any problems we'll just invent them so we can blame others for our own deficiencies.

Ukraine, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan.
Can these post-soviet states spend a Friday night without starting a revolution?
Maybe they miss the USSR. ;)

That riots in Kyrgyzstan turns usual violence and robbery ("Kyrgyzing").

Belorussian pro-government media widely covered riots with obvious message - Belorussia avoided such ugly things because of government efforts and this is quite convincing when combined with footage from Bishkek. In the previous president elections in Belarus (2015) Ukrainian disaster also was very favorable for Lukashenko.

Seems this revolution ended quickly.
Today state of emergency was declared in Bishkek, troops take control on the city. Curfew from 21.00 to 05.00, prohibition of alcohol sale from 18.00 to 09.00, prohibition of any meetings, demonstarations etc. Checkpoints on the streets, etc.
