Interesting, all things considered, how the left managed to move the goal posts when it comes to violence against women versus justice against illegals.
We used to being told "trust women", "trust victims", "victims prevail over the accused (especially if the victim is female and her victimhood is a sexual crime)", etc...
But here, looks like they switched the playbook entirely "oh well... she didn't just ask for it", "she made them do it".
Does anybody remember the case of these two Swedish (?) teenage girls who went camping in Maghreb, but were eventually raped and beheaded live on camera?
Based on that precedent set by these lawyers, perhaps these two girls "instigated group sex".

We have had the same thing happening recently with the trial of Samuel Patty's murderer.
However the defense attorney didn't limit himself to blaming the victim, but also his ex-wife and son.
The main difference being, that was entirely gratuitous.
