Not sure if the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels have been posted before. In case not yet:

The contribution of Papua Natives to the fight against the Japanese aggression is not well known outside of Australia.
Their help to the Aussie troops was very valuable, and not only as scouts or porters.

30 September 1943, the fourth and last day of fighting in Naples - a city liberated by itself from the Nazis. The uprising has seen hundreds of civilians, partisans, police and Italian soldiers die. The youngest resistance fighter to fall is eleven-year old Gennaro Capuozzo.

Warszaw Insurgents at Napoleon Square (now Powstańców Warszawy Square). The Prudential skyscraper is visible in the background. It had a height of 16 floors (66 m), which made it at that time the highest in Poland and the second in Europe.
It still stands today.
