British Commando Helicopter Force training with the Royal Netherlands Navy
Commando Merlin helicopters from British 846 Naval Air Squadron have deployed with Dutch amphibious ship HNLMS Johan de Witt for a series of flying exercises, known as Merlin Trident. The aircrew will focus on certification for flight deck operations and build closer bonds with the Royal Netherlands Navy as they prepare to operate together inside the Arctic Circle during the coming winter.
