Safe to presume they bought it directly from the Israelis. If I'm not mistaken the Moroccans were generally not as hostile against Israel compared to neighbouring countries. I read somewhere that King Hasan II was secretly cooperating with Israel and that he attempted to normalised ties between the two countries but that it was abandoned due to protests by Moroccans.
That's right, surely these rifles had been a gift from the Zionists to Morocco,in relation to fighting terrorism, there is nothing confirming the acquisition.
Although there are no diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel the two sides collaborate on security and there are economic, export and import relations.
It will be because there are more than 1 million moroccan Israelis of dual nationality who live in Israel and who visit a lot Morocco, and many with double residence in Morocco and Israel.
