Hi guys the first of the two fingers arrived today. This one I'm going to use as the driver as his upper position will fit the position in the build perfectly with his hands being in the correct position for the steering wheel and is wearing the right headgear for the 80s.
I know that he is standing but that won't be for long as I will have to modify him... And the top half is all you will ever see from looking in the hatches... And that's if your 12" away 😂😂😂😂

Hi guys it's on...... I started the build today and within a few minutes I was nearly caught out by not paying attention and I think that it's going to happen very often.
As you can see this build has the option for making the vehicle in two types early and later versions and as I'm building the later one I will have to watch out that I don't fit a piece that doesn't need to go on. As you can see from the pictures below the radio system from the early version can go directly in without the other bit in place that goes in for the latter mark.

Below the early one fitted for demo and the bits to the right is all for the other type set up.

Guys some progress today I have to say that the fitting of the hull parts is excellent so far no gaps and looks fantastic.... We have come a long way since my last 1/35 build back in 1978 🤣

Not much left of the drive just head and arms 😂😂😂 but he is going to look OK in his position.

Hi guys I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with..... I'm using this as a base coat

But every time I mix a quantity of this primer and this thinner it splits and at first it goes all thick but with some stirring it goes very thin and you can see little bits of debris.

What am I doing wrong.

Hm, thats not nice. The Problem is, i use Tamiya acrylic paints since decades and iam happy with it, but i never used the "liquid surface primer" that you show here. I have put the colour always directly on the model and never had a problem with it... On the other hand, before painting my models, I always wash them once in dish soap and water and then again with medical alcohol...

@PegAsus thanks for your reply not having done an modern airfix for some time.. I will assume that it's OK to go directly on to the model with final top colours and not bother with undercoat.

Hi guys I found an answer to my problem in thining the paint.
It seams that I have been try to thin the surface primer G.........which is a lacquer paint With the wrong thinner the x20A is for acrylic paint.
That's what happens when you don't know what you're doing 🤣🤣🤣🤣

To make up the figures that I had purchased for this build.

Hi guys not a great deal done today as there's less to put on just some wee bits that need to get painted individually.
The main colour is down and when I get back to it the back will be next.... Yet to sort out a design so I'll go look in the web for inspiration and that will give me the idea of which colour the wheels will be.

And... what happened to "Sam Elliot"? Mil-smile01
Very nice figures, so well finished, the vehicle assembly is going very, very well, we are all anxious to see it finished, my congratulations! (Y)

@TIGREDELAIRE you have no idea what lengths I have gone to to try to get a figure with a stash like that.... we will just have to accept that it's not going to happen 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Hi guy's gerry cans now on... inner commander hatch painted
