Who likes big, fast Century Series fighters in natural metal finish?
This is some of my artwork featuring F-105 Thunderchief. I titled this one "Chiefs." It's an 18x24 inch print that features a formation of F-105Bs assigned to the 335th TFS at Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina. The Chiefs originally evaluated the Thunderchief, and they were the first USAF squadron to accept the aircraft into operation service. Don't they look brilliant in their natural metal finish? Quite a bit better than when they all got painted with silver lacquer. However, they weren't going to remain that way for long, and they all ended up getting painted in SEA camouflage anyway.
I created this 36x12 inch profile illustration as a companion to Chiefs :
I wanted to carry something from the plane over to balance the illustration. So, I extended the green vertical stabilizer stripe and added the Chiefs' squadron logo that was painted on their fighters.
You can get a closer look at these, and my other artwork, at my website. Thanks!
