Trying to change venue and who will be in the room is just a last ditch effort by Iran to reshape negotiations. So far Trump is firm on his 4 demands, nuclear/ballistic missiles/ proxies/ respect for demonstrators. We'll see.

I'll add this. This would be a good time for maybe France or the UK to send a carrier over as a show of support. Just do laps in the Arabian Sea.

Uk already has one, it’s called Cyprus, probably a lot of your tankers there. We also sent a sqn of fighters to Qatar, maybe other stuff….

I'd imagine missile. The C model doesn't carry a gun IIRC. Reported downed in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is probably testing how close they can get before action.

Understood, but a carrier would be a visible show of support. QE is in dry dock and PoW is currently in maintenance however, after it's '25 world tour. Charles de Gaul is in training in the North Atlantic.
