My father served in the New Zealand Army in the Solomon Islands during WW2 as a K9 trainer. Two great uncles, one served in Gallipoli, and the other died on the Marquette when it was torpedoed. On my wife's side, her father served in the North Atlantic, as did her brothers, including those involved in the sinking of the Graf Spee. I have been fortunate to travel over the years and have always shared a considerable interest in Military History and the Middle East, and the wars that shaped the region. I have had a book accepted for publishing (a novel) set against the background of the Yom Kippur War, 6/10/73, which should be released later this year. Currently my wife and family reside in Australia .
