Insurgents in Iraq have launched a series of apparently co-ordinated attacks on security forces in four towns and cities.
Reports say 19 people died in attacks on police stations and US forces in the towns of Baquba and Ramadi.
Two American soldiers were among the dead, the US military said.
Several people were reportedly killed in explosions and gunfire in the northern city of Mosul while fighting also flared in Falluja.
