Responding swiftly to a distress call from MV Fareeda 5 on a likely piracy attempt in the Western Indian Ocean on 17 Jun 26, mission deployed INS Trikand a frontline frigate of the Indian Navy undertook prompt action to investigate and deter the threat.

IASV Triveni, Indian Army's sailboat with a crew of six women officers from the three defence forces of India, affected a rendezvous with INS Tarkash, Indian Navy's potent guided missile frigate! Transiting from Cape Town to Mumbai, IASV Triveni is on the last leg of her global circumnavigation expedition. INS Tarkash is currently on an operational deployment in the SW Indian Ocean.
