Oh look it's the guy who was arguing that Israel had been committing genocide since 1948 that no one took seriously, and then was able to jump on the post October 7th bandwagon to which he's now treated as a prominent expert. Gotta love these so called academics who live in Israel and yet bash it constantly, Bartov, Pappe etc. Free speech sure, but pathetic all the same.

So that's about 6.4k deaths a year, approximately 13k natural deaths have occured over the course of the war and included in their overall count (Hamas haven't declared any figure for natural deaths separately at any point).
70k - 13k - 25k (combatants) = 32,000 that's almost 1:1
The question after that is how many were killed by Hamas directly (sniper fire, executions etc) and indirectly (IEDs, misfired rockets), how many died of pre-existing conditions? The number starts to go down even further still. Then add to that 120k births over the two years as well. Israel is absolutely terrible at genocide...
