They were members of Islamic Jihad, one a commander, responsible for bombings using suicide vests and shootings. Islamic Jihad themselves proudly said that following their martyrdom. How "coincidental" that the article doesn't mention any of that.

It was the Israeli Border Police which isn't a part of the IDF, so they aren't "soldiers".
