Israel has destroyed more than 1,500 buildings in areas of Gaza that have remained under its control since the ceasefire with Hamas started on 10 October, satellite images reviewed by BBC Verify show.

The new photos - the latest of which was taken on 8 November - show that entire neighbourhoods controlled by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been levelled in less than a month, apparently through demolitions.

The actual number of destroyed buildings could be significantly higher, with satellite imagery for some areas being unavailable for BBC Verify's assessment.

Some experts have argued that the demolitions may violate the terms of the ceasefire brokered by the US, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey. But an IDF spokesperson told BBC Verify that it was acting "in accordance with the ceasefire framework".

That would require firing all of the staff and starting over from scratch. It's not one one CEO who decides, it's management and HR recruiting ideological allies who they know from uni, NGOs, political action groups etc for decades straight and going through the taxpayer funded promotions wheel. 2 things I learned about while fighting the taliban in Afghanistan & several other Islamic countries. 1. Manlove thursday, sex between males is allowed under islam especially if the receiver is feminine acting, our cultural training briefly educated us that this was common among Afghan soldiers & the taliban but not to talk about it or photograph it. 2. Muslim soldiers are educated that dyeing in battle by mytering [suicide bomber] is a direct pathway to paradise. "butt bombers" were commonplace in Afghanistan, they would shove huge amounts of explosives into their rectums wired to a handheld detonator to take out as many coalition soldiers as they could. A lot walked odd & watching them explode as the butt charge blew them apart around mid waist as their internal organs went in every direction. Stray Afghan dogs learned to run toward explosions to grab body parts. It was not unusual to see a dog dragging 10-15 feet of small intestines down the street......Afghanistan, where I developed a real dark sense of humor.
