Kind of not surprising, but also tricky.
When you live in a place where most people have ties with Hamas/Hezbollah/Al Nusra/etc..., where most buildings are used in some ways shapes or forms by these groups for various purposes, even if you are trying to get straighten your life you will inevitably end up getting in contact, no matter how direct or indirect, with these people and organizations.
So... heh... acom razor. Either he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and didn't mean any harm. Or he simply was more committed to the cause than ever.
And considering the psychological impact the war in Gaza had on the civilian populations; there surely will be people who either got radicalized or further radicalized.
