Oh I am well aware of that, even more so since I did the most part of my academic years in Lyon.
But Lyon is a special place, and so are its universities, with lost of oppositions and contradictions.
Unis are rife with leftists and far-leftists, but surprisingly enough there also is a very strong presence of ultra-conservative far-right (talking about Lyon, in other cities as well, but Lyon is a very interesting case). Among the students
and the teachers.
As for saying "he is the reason they need to exist", well... yes and no.
He could be, yes, absolutely organic in his views and opposition to the far-left. Just like his views could have grown as a response to the far-left's behavior and the general conniving from those who think they know better.
But even without him, antifa would still exist. They are used to intimidate and quell dissent through fear and violence.
So, just call people nazis and be very loud and obnoxiously retarded about it. Thus you create yourself a target and justify your own existence.
