Images released by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) show F-35B Lightning II aircraft from VMFA-225 being prepared at Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Puerto Rico.During preparation, the aircraft were equipped with BLU-111 JDAM guided bombs and AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, in preparation for a planned mission in the southern Caribbean.

F 35 gets the bad news from an F 18,

F-35 fighter jets have been involved in air military operations and surveillance in southeastern Greenland and around Iceland.

Over the past two weeks, F-35 fighter jets, Challenger transport aircraft and a French Multi Role Tanker Transport aircraft have participated in “Operation Noble Defender” in the Arctic.
It is an annual operation where you operate together with colleagues from the United States and Canada.
The operation gives both all parties unique knowledge about operating together and operating in demanding environments such as in the Arctic.
The US-Canadian North American Defence Commands (NORAD) are behind the operation, which has now ended.
