Yeah with companies going to the wall in Germany I'm sure they will be the leading country in armaments.
Also, with the $ exchange rate heading into uncharted territory even a large € input if spent in dollars will struggle.

They are everywhere

Exclusive: China cancelled EU leader's video address at opening of major trade expo

BEIJING/BRUSSELS, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Chinese authorities behind a major trade expo in Shanghai pulled an opening ceremony address by the European Council president that was set to criticise Russia's "illegal war" in Ukraine and call for reduced EU trade dependency on China, diplomats said.
The pre-recorded video by Charles Michel was meant to be one of several from world leaders and heads of international organisations, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, at the opening of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Friday, three European diplomats told Reuters.

Behind a paywall

But the gist is Germany is saying it is going to rearm to the teeth - but it will be lucky if it buys some warm socks in the next 10 years

You are judged by what you DO not what you say - Germany expected Ruskia to be in Kiev in 2 days, and they could have then had cheap grain to go with the cheap gas

"Chancellor Olaf Scholz wants to make the Bundeswehr the "best equipped armed force in Europe". But it's going in the other direction - despite 100 billion euros in special debts. For example, the Minister of Defense is only making progress at a snail's pace with the ordering of new weapon systems.

All other tasks should be subordinate to the priority of a functioning national and alliance defense, explained Olaf Scholz (SPD) recently at a management conference in Berlin: “That is my claim as Chancellor. You can measure me by that.”

Scholz is what we call a Schwätzer here a guy only saying what he expects to soothe/calm others so he can continue his erratic path while the audience still believes his hogwash.

Merkel did nothing for 16 years except for babbling nonsense and the three things she did were all wrong. Such a system only works if you have lots of lickspittles around you.

Olaf was one of them. Only huge public pressure and exposing every little puzzle piece they again want to sell to the enemies of liberty, in return for just a little personal narcistic/monetary reward, can stop them.

They act not in public interest. Will take long until this is resolved if at all.

Wait, wait, EU will respond proportionally and will lick China's balls with much less enthusiasm! You just wait and see!!!! Nobody messes with the EU!

But the best China ball lickers are cheap western CEOs. They also licked Putins balls until they shined.

Maybe China wil indeed see something in the future.

Everybody sees the dangers China poses except for the same clowns which already supported Russia.

BERLIN, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Germany will not face as severe a recession next year as currently predicted by the government, according to the five "wise ones" who advise Berlin on economic policy.

The five-member economic advisory council sees Germany's economy shrinking by 0.2% in 2023, versus the official forecast of a 0.4% contraction, a person familiar with their annual report told Reuters on Tuesday.

Yay news of not so hard recession. I predict none at all. There is lots of work to do.

Germany’s first LNG jetty completed in Wilhelmshaven

Germany’s first FSRU-based LNG import facility in Wilhelmshaven is now ready to welcome Hoegh’s vessel in December following the completion of the terminal’s jetty.

Niedersachsen Ports (NPorts) confirmed the completion of the jetty in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The jetty was completed in just 194 days, NPorts said.

These talks and restrictions have been ongoing for several years now, at least since 2019. What changed was that the cooperative mutual benefits approach changed into dictates aimed at hindering ASML, benefitting US competitors and propping up US manufacturing.

A continuation of America First without saying those words. Not that any Dutch government official will ever admit any of it because they were all acting as giddy cheerleaders when Biden got elected. Uncle Joe can do no wrong!

Talks have been difficult in the last two years. I'll leave it up to your imagination which change took place around that time

Orange 2 senile.
