And thats good. Its just problematic with figures like Orban who also take over media and use cronyism and nepotism to stay there forever accuse the others of exactly that and continue to leech off funds.

The EU must get rid of that majority vote is the only thing appropriate after impotent clowns like Orban and Fico can inflate their importance with this idiotic present by violating and abusing it. Anyone not happy with that can leave instantly and join the Russian Federation.

How come no one saw this coming when forming the Union... Should be something like 3/4 majority vote so if there is significant opposition it doesn't pass. You almost never get 100% agreement on anything. Basically we have just given the most corrupt the right to get handouts for every possible vote.

But seriously, the rest just have to make exception and say majority voting is in effect from now on. It would be idiotic to keep going forward this way. It's not like we haven't done exceptions to every other possible rule, like Dublin or deficit rules.

Cynic in me thinks that they want to keep this system so they can go behind Orban "OH, we wanted to put money on this but Orban..." Nothing prevents the countries from going around EU.

Iceland will hold a referendum on joining the European Union in August. (Source) Some opinions suggest that Trump's threats against Greenland spooked the Icelanders, and that Britain having left the Union actually made membership more appealing to them (fishing rights). Recent polls suggest it'll be a tight race. Ten years ago, almost 80% of the electorate polled against joining the EU (source); polls from 2025 suggest a 45% Yes-35% No split, with many voters undecided (source).

Either way, I hope there's a quorum, so the question is settled one way or another.

A typical video made for idiots by idiots.

First of all, these terrorist attacks in France and Belgium were carried out mainly by homegrown jihadists rather than people who came over there illegally. Closing the borders won't solve the problem.

Secondly, these Muslim mayors in British cities and towns would not have been elected if white British people hadn't voted for them.

Brighton is called a gay capital of the UK and its citizens elected a Muslim mayor. The census from 2021 says 3% of people living in Brighton are Muslims and this percentage is far below the national average. Just do the math and realise 3% of Muslims couldn't elect a mayor. British whiteys did it.

What does old, fat, and corrupt Vik have to do with that? You can safely take him out of the equation, especially if the UK is not an EU member.

And the reality
54.6% of Hungarian women aged 18-74 (1,979,029 women) have been subjected to physical violence, threats of violence, sexual violence, and/or psychological violence by a former or current partner. At least every second Hungarian woman has been a direct victim of intimate partner violence. This figure is the highest among EU member states.

7.6% of Hungarian women aged 18-74 (275,469 women) have been subjected to physical violence, threats of physical violence, sexual violence, and/or psychological violence by a former or current partner in the past 12 months. (Since this refers to experiences in the past 12 months, this represents 279,013 women in the 17-74 age group.) This means that at least 275-280,000 Hungarian women are currently living or have recently lived in a relationship where violence is present.

41.1% of Hungarian women aged 18-74 (1,489,708 women) have been subjected to physical violence, threats of physical violence, and/or sexual violence by a former or current partner. (The EU average is less than half this figure, at 17.7%.)

More than half (54.8%) of Hungarian women in abusive relationships who have experienced repeated violence suffered abuse at least once a month, and more than a quarter (26.9%) suffered abuse at least once a week.

Meanwhile, one in ten Hungarian women in abusive relationships (10.1%) experienced fear of death due to certain acts of violence.

The actual number of sexual assaults (latent cases) in Hungary is extremely high. Estimates suggest that there may be 415 times more cases than those reported, as the majority of victims do not report the crime to the authorities. 41.1% of Hungarian women aged 18-74 have experienced sexual or physical violence from their partner, which is more than twice the EU average.
