2019. Cpl Weir (Left) Trooper Gilles (Right) of C Squadron, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (SCOTS DG) are currently deployed in Poland as part of the UKs commitment to NATOs Enhanced Forward presence in Poland and the Baltic countries.
Royal Marines have completed their Baltic mission with training raids along Lithuania’s coast and on a radar station inland from RFA Mounts Bay.
45 Commando have been deployed since the start of May at the heart of the Littoral Response Group (North). The marines were the amphibious spearhead of the response group, which was led by assault ship HMS Albion with support ship RFA Mounts Bay and a Wildcat from 847 NAS also involved for exercises in the North Sea, North Atlantic and Baltic.
Chinook students have been honing their skills during the operational phase of their training, Exercise KUKRI DAWN. From trooping to mountain flying, they have practised the skills they will be using on the front line when they graduate from 28 Squadron.
Formation Flight Marks 50 Years Of RAF Puma Service
A formation of Puma helicopters from RAF Benson has marked their 50 years of service with a national flypast.
The formation departed RAF Benson as part of a training sortie that incorporated flypasts of notable locations for the Puma Force over the past 50 years. This included those that hold historical significance as well as those that provide support to delivering current Puma operational capability.

HMS Trent has completed intensive training on Ukrainian and US-hosted exercises during her second visit to the Black Sea in a matter of months.
A RN news release said: “The patrol ship is on an enduring mission to the Mediterranean, having left the UK at the end of March to begin operations that will see her continually be a presence across the Med and south into the tropical waters of the Atlantic and Gulf of Guinea.”
