Delivering the Regiment’s unique attack capabilities, B Coy, 2 PARA took part in Ex KRONOS WARRIOR 25 where they completed a demanding progression of live-fire tactical training, culminating in a Platoon live-fire at night exercise.
They also conducted a 24-hour field training exercise, which saw B Coy hone skills during a 15km night infiltration and while conducting a dawn attack on an enemy position.
As it has for more than 80 years, the Parachute Regiment is proud of the position it holds as a unique unit in Britain’s armed forces, standing at the tip of the spearhead of the country’s defence activities in an increasingly unstable world.

XR501 was one of four Wessex (XR499, XR500, XR501, and XR502) delivered prior to RAF acceptance for use with operational units. The Intensive Flying Trials Unit formed the nucleus of the RAF's first operational unit to be equipped with the Wessex when No. 18 Squadron was established in January 1964.

Learning to undertake deck landings at sea in day by and night conditions is a vital part of maritime helicopter flying training. To do so with a NATO partner and one with which there are close ties is an invaluable experience for helicopter crews and the ship’s company.

The 1 R WELSH BG has completed the final mission of Ex DRAGON CYCLONE and now recovers to camp for some much needed rest and vehicle maintenance.
The Battlegroup has been deployed on Salisbury Plain for a number of weeks and has performed extremely well against a tough enemy over a series of challenging missions, setting the conditions for the next phase of Op CABRIT pre-deployment training.
Additional congratulations to all those who have completed the Armoured Infantry Crew Commanders Course and are now qualified to command a Warrior IFV on exercise and operations.
