Photos British Army In Northern Ireland

I think in addition to questions about the weapon, since the thread is meant to be Northern Ireland specific, it also wouldn't make sense for the Windsor Regiment to be there historically?
You apparently misunderstood me Ive used the term "Windsors forces"to describe the British forces as a whole, without reference to the branch of service or units, since I have limited knowledge on them.

Ah, yes. That is what got me. I thought you were referring to a Canadian unit. The Windsor Regiment. My mistake.

I would be interested to know what caused the doubts and what they were about.
Was the weapon the only reason?Im by no means an expert on the Windsors forces, though I always thought they had a significant amount of foreign weaponry.
No worries SamWell, didn't mean to upset you mate, I first hit "Sad" when I saw the photo thinking it casualty but then looked closer at beret and that wasn't right and then I noticed the rifle wasn't the venerable UK SLR but instead a metric model. That was all I was pointing out. Forgive me if that was interpreted the wrong way. I figured it may have been an causality from another conflict.

I am not upset or offended in any way.As I said earlier:"Just interested to know what wrong with the photo".See,I saw this photo pop up dozens of times in various russian and ukrainian publications about the conflict, and didn’t even think that it wasnt from there.Just pure interest on what exactly wrong and where it could be taken.I would be thankful for your, and not your, expertise.
I figured it may have been an causality from another conflict.
So, what kind of conflict it could be?
