CAFGU is an auxiliary force that works alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines in securing far flung communities from local insurgents and rebels. They typically recruit men from the surrounding area, and are given older equipment such as M1 Garands, and M14 Battle Rifles.

They never work independently, and are often attached as additional manpower to regular Armed Forces of the Philippines Army units. The man in the center with the M16 is likely their acting squad leader or instructor for the exercise, an NCO from the Army.

Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana and Philippine Air Force (PAF) Commanding General LtGen Connor Anthony Canlas Sr led the Joint Acceptance, Turn Over, and Blessing Ceremony of two Turkish made T-129 ATAK Helicopters at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. Turkish Defence İndustry Minister also took part.

Congratulations to Philippines ????

With her compliment of C-STAR Anti-Ship Missiles already installed.

Another interesting tidbit is the big red "K" painted on her mast. This is widely believed to be the equivalent to the USN's Battle (E) Effectiveness" competition award that's given to ships.

The "K" meaning "Kahusayan (Exellence), and the red signifies Engineering and Survivability excellence award.

As per the fire control dome above her bridge, BAE Mk.38 Mod. 3 25mm gun systems amidship, and the Sea Giraffe 3D Radar on her aft mast.

Other unseen or hard to spot upgrades that are likely have been already installed, are EO/IR sights, CMS, and Radar-Electronic Support Measures, and the Hull Mounted Sonar.

Her other two sisters are slated for the same upgrades.
