It truly defies belief that this walking ming mong .. actually got elected .. She has no basic common sense prime example .. that GND of hers .. which was itself Comedy GOLD .

She is so stupid .. it's ridiculous ..

I think this way of garbarge disposal isn't common in bigger cities in the US because it seems to be a good way to clog the plumbing and the sewer. It'll also unnecessarily attrack rats and other vermins. That's presumably why she doesn't knew about it.

In Europe we don't know these things at all. We throw our trash (including left over food scraps) in the trash.

If that's all you can bring up against her...lame.

I didn't click on the video because what I once found funny, has now become tiresome and sad. I swear, I can feel my IQ dropping every time I hear her speak.

I must admit , if I saw one of those waste disposal thingys I'd be WTF . I've never found throwing waste in the bin a particular inconvenience so I do find using a sink hole as a bin a bit pointless ; though I am aware they are popular in some parts of the world .

Considering her rampant stupidity, it must have taken a very very "special" group of humans to actually vote for her in the first place.

That is a fact! But they are not so happy since she chased Amazon away from her district, along with 20,000 new jobs and an estimated $20 billion in investment. Out of that $20B, Amazon would have gotten $3B in tax credits. AOC didn't comprehend that the $3B wasn't just sitting in the bank and after Amazon was chased off, she stated that they could use that $3 billion on something else now. She is a shockingly stupid socialist. But...I repeat myself.

Theres more to it than just that . The Amazon deal would have seen more gentrification of poor areas in New York as seen in many cities across the west . How come Amazon needed a government subsidy anyway , I thought bezos was loaded ? That's right , these massive multi nationals do like their bit of socialism when it suits them.

I partly agree that Amazon is super rich and should not need any tax credits. On the other hand, the complete lack of understanding of what this deal was about, how it was structured and what it would mean to AOC’s people is alarming.

If the issue were the tax credits, then they should have been addressed directly. If the issue was the gentrification of a neighborhood which may or may not one day lead to less low cost housing, then that should have been addressed directly. BTW with a good job, most people try to better themselves regarding housing.

AOC’s ignorance and incompetence cost her people big time.

BTW, regarding that article posted. Income inequality’s is remedied by giving people opportunities to do better, not keeping opportunities suppressed so everyone has an equally sucky life.

I'm sure 15k a year workers are not suddenly going to Bob down to the job centre and pick up a 150k executive job overnight because an Amazon hq has opened nearby and their desperate for staff . Doesn't work like that ,They ll get pushed out through economics . I'm with AOC on this one , she was right to represent her constituents and take on board their concerns .

So basically, let them all stew in poverty, under the name of equality. BTW, they'd certainly be making more than $7.50 per hour. Isn't minimum wage $15 bucks per hour in New York, with actual Amazon jobs paying MUCH more than that?

There is a word for people who want their community to stay the same and never change. They're called conservatives.

So AOC is actually a conservative! LOL!

Never a truer word more spoken . But you have to question , why leave it to a private company to make those changes ? I just don't get that side of the argument .

Because when the government does it, they'll almost certainly F*** it up beyond any comprehension. And then spend double the budget again to try to fix it, and fail again.

I look at the reconstruction of Christchurch after the 2011 earthquake as a exemplary instance of this. The government department set up to "recover" Christchurch made the recovery process harder, more expensive, take (considerably) longer and the end result is hardly what the people of Christchurch wanted. @Flagg
