Other countries doing business with China = Bad
Trumps US doing business with China = Good

Well first, probably not a bad idea to lower the temperature between the US and China to avert or delay a war. With that said, doing business with China is unavoidable. Letting China control your country is avoidable.

Also China is really interested in aircraft engines so they can send them on to russia. But that's of course totally different from buying oil via India and not sanctions dodging at all.
Anything is possible, I suppose. But airline engines aren't commodities like oil or soybeans. Engines have tracking systems, unique identifiers and export controls. Unauthorized transfers would be easily tracked.

Russian missiles and drones are full of western components. We know about it and do nothing. Willingly supplying sanctioned goods by rubberstamping it at the government level is the same as the sanctions dodging of Hungary and Slovakia which the US keeps saying Europe needs to stop.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

I believe restrictions on US commercial jet engine deliveries to China were lifted last July.

Personally, I'd doubt that China would want to:
1) Cannibalize multi-million dollar engines it needs for it's own fleet in order to send "components" to Russia.
2) Anger the US Administration over unauthorized transfers.
3) I don't trust China as far as I can throw them, but they are not stupid, either.

Airline engines are $50-100m items, and are tracked and monitored. China warns them for its own airline models, because it doesn’t have the tech. Whether we should be facilitating this, is a different question.

The crap China sells to Russia is for shahed drones etc, basically copies of rotax and similar. There is no cross over here.

I was reliably told that China had no presence in Greenland.

The polling doesn't look good for midterms. I can't imagine that the House won't be lost. The Senate will probably hold, though. After that, it will be 2 years of impeachments, subpoenas, indictments, etc. That's all they Dems have. They have no policies that help the country nor it's people. We'll see how that all turns out for them.

Traditionally the party in power takes a loss in the midterms. The fact that several dozen Republican members of Congress are retiring will only exacerbate things.

It will be interesting to see if the American electorate is willing to watch 2 years of a Democrat clown show. They may have their fill by the time '28 comes.
