My opinion is based on my own idiocy. That out of the way.
These drug boats are delivering what I would consider a close equivalent of chemical weapons. The effect they have on the US population is catastrophic. Is it legal to blow them up. I dunno, ask a court I guess?
Hard for me to get twisted up over them getting blown up.
A December 1, 2025, Newsmax video report shows the U.S. deploying 11 warships and 15,000 troops, with the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier near Venezuela.

Yes, drugs have won. It's because they are insanely profitable. For now, the price of doing business has gone up. It's a battle worth fighting, especially if you've seen the horrendous price paid by not only those addicted but also the devastation they leave for their families.
Fvck these narcoterrorists. It's inconceivable that people could be defending them.

Some wackos defend everything, including drug runners, but for the most, I think, it's more about defending our societies from military and the police becoming the judge, jury and executioner, who double tap criminals on sight.
I don't remember many cases of stellar success with prohibition and wars on drugs. Social work and trying to reduce the need for people to self medicate with narcotics has had a better track record, if far from perfect still.
Just like there is no such thing as antifa, there is no threat from migrants therefore "refugees welcome all over", your kids are perfectly safe sharing their locker-rooms/showers/bathrooms with transgenders, Islam is a religion of peace, etc...

Well, seems like they unlocked the turbo-mode on that pussy-footing.
Trafficking drugs isn't a threat.
They are just trying to make a living.
I suppose that, next, they will try to convince us that drugs aren't that bad. That drugs are actually good for you. And stopping the trafficking will negatively impact addicts.

It's a tough issue, no doubt. I certainly don't have all the answers. But I'm all for destroying these boats on the way to the US. And if the crews are killed....oh well,
Will it fix everything? Doubt it. But it sure creates a problem for the narco-terrorists. And if instead of kiiling 100,000 Americans every year, it comes down to 99,000, that's a victory in my eyes.
^---We're not talking about stopping people from getting drunk, but from DYING from intentionally or carelessly made illegal drugs being flooded into the west by those that either don't care if they kill people or actually DO want to kill people.

We will never cure drugs only mitigate and requires a constellation of mitigating interaction.
But culturally the US produces tv series that idollizes the dealers. Tony the Soprano and that other big hit Breaking bad, top shows in the US that centre on drugs.
How do you get back from that and include bad parenting. Something cough cough the republicans are pushing whereas where do we hear all the liberalize drugs from? The Dems and Labour/greens who totally forget about values.
Which I reckon is ground zero.
Dealers, run em all over with the excavator and bury them there.

Yeah, I guess you get the best bang for the buck by approaching it from multiple directions (supply, demand, values, education) as with all directions you start to get diminishing returns after a while.
I would add fighting inequality and poverty to the list.

That is exactly right. China is involved up to it's neck in this. They see this as payback for the Opium Wars. A way to wreck havoc in American society. They are purposely poisoning our people with Fentanyl and other agents, supplying precursors to the narco-terrorists. The thing is, it's not just people with a drug problem, which is bad enough. It's clean college kids, for example, who might try an amphetamine to stay up late to study for finals. The college kid dies, because that "speed" was laced with Fentanyl.
Thank God we have Trump in office, who is more than willing to put the boots to China.
