berkut76. I've a question for you. Why do YOU think this war receives almost zero mention in the Western news media? Thank you. This war has been going on for 5 years.

May all these fallen Ukrainian soldiers rest in peace.

Because nobody really knows or cares where Ukraine is!? on outskirts of civilization :( Most folks thinks that it's still part of Russia. Plus there are no powerful interested parties. Take a look at the middle east, if somebody gets hit by a rock in Jerusalem, there are several news articles about the incident from all the influential outlets within an hour.

Private 1st Class Ivan Deykun, 28th Infantry Brigade was killed in a firefight with Russian forces on October 6th, 2019. He was 41 years old and leaves behind a wife and a 16 year old son.

6th year of the war, despite great strides and just as monumental setbacks, even elite Ukrainian units still rely on crowdfunding and private individuals aid. Marines with a drone (I don't know what this model is and have never seen on in the USA) and Special Forces units with different nick knacks, i.e. Chinese knock offs used by airsofters in developed countries.

More of the Ukrainian military realities. Newly appointed 93rd infantry brigade 3rd battalion commander, captain soon to be major Oleksandr Sak call sign "Staff". Countless combat decorations as well as three combat wounds. Oleksandr is just 24 years age, his graduation from Military Academy was fast tracked due to the shortage of trained officers in 2015 when he was just 20 years old.

This is THE BEST video from "Azov" that I've seen so far. From about 1:38 of the video only combat footage, snipers and mortar crews. The video is titled NO TO CAPITULATION as there are a lot of concerns in Ukraine right now that the present young and inexperienced country leadership under the pressure from European leaders and indifference from the USA will lead the country towards giving in to Russian not just demands, but ultimatums.
